question about Hypnosis

topic posted Mon, October 10, 2005 - 2:00 PM by  offlineJackie
Hello!

I am a massage technician and am very interested in all spiritual healing entities. Hypnosis has always intrigued me and now I have a situation I would like to "cure" and was wondering if anyone can tell me if Hypnosis would be an option.
I have just met the love of my life and he is an amazing man. However, all my life I have dealt with low self-esteem which now has me battling jealousy. I am tormented by my own imagination and have spoken to him about it, which helps, but I still have stupid thoughts.
Whether I want to purge my jealousy or boost my self-esteem... is hypnosis an option?

Thanks!

    Jackie,

I'm interested in reading the replies to your post from actual hypnotists (I do it non-professionally). But I want to applaud you for owning your issue with jealousy, which is such a soulcrushing poison. That's such an important awareness and is the root to the healing you're seeking.

If you don't get the response you're looking for here, you might want to check out some other relationship tribes, such as "Fluid Relationships" and "Polyamory" which deal at length with jealousy issues and often have some very enriching advice for overcoming the ownership myths and insecurities that frequent relationships. Good luck with your efforts!

As a certified hypnotherapist with a strong background in both self-esteem therapy and relationship strategies I can only say THERE'S HOPE!!

I myself used hypnosis for BOTH of these things, and found that change is easier than most people imagine, when you have the right knowledge which allows you to own your behavior.

Whether you'd like to e-mail back and forth, or talk on the phone now and then, or actually come in for hypnosis sessions, I'd love to be of any help that I can to you.

I'm sure you already know this, but you are WORTHY of the life you desire, and that amazing man is just one part of it.

    Much peace,
    Brennan

      Hi Brennen!

Thanks for the post and reply. I really would like to learn more. I think I have always battles low self esteem and am not sure where it came from. But if I can boost that with hypnosis along with healthy living and excersize... I should be able to battel these demons on my head .. right?

What would a session cost out of curiosity and how many are suggested until results are visible?

Thanks again and looking forward to hearng back.

Tell you what, if we can't battle the demons in your head, we'll just put them on the payroll and get them to do your bidding.

Before you decide that you definitely want to work together, drop by my web-site (or give me a call) to get more info. There's a ton of good info and links on the site.

In terms of the number of sessions, we usually evaluate progress after the 3rd or 4th session. By then you can easily see how well it's working, and based on your experiences and feelings to that point we can discuss what's best. The first session is 90-120 minutes, and each additional one lasts right around an hour. You'll really relate to hypnosis, since people calling it "getting a massage with your mind."

My session fee is $85. Included in that are custom-made CD's to reinforce the in-session relaxation and positive thinking, as well as phone access to me with any questions you may have.

Jackie, no matter what happens I hope you get what you're looking for. Life's meant to be lived in contentment, you know?

        Much peace,
        Brennan
